Spring Concert Reminders


  • The Spring Concert is Tuesday, May 23rd.  That's tomorrow.
  • Bring black pants or jeans to school.  Shirts will be provided tomorrow morning.
  • All students should be changed and waiting in the classroom by 4:00.
  • Show time is 4:50.
  • After the primary performance is finished students can be picked up at the homeroom, not the gym.  This will be around 5:40.

Science Fair Example

Sahej has completed her science fair project and presented it to the class.  In her experiment she used iodine to test for starch in different foods!

Any students who complete their project early are welcome to present the experiment to the rest of the class.

Spelling Bee 2017

Our school Spelling Bee will be during the week of June 5 - 9.  Six grade two finalists will be determined over May 29, 30, and 31st.  This will be happening in class with one or more traditional spelling tests.  


  • Here is the Grade Two Spelling List for our in class spelling bee.
  • In addition to this list I will be asking students to spell challenge words that aren't on the list.
  • The Spelling Bee, that will be in the auditorium, will NOT use this particular list of grade 2 words.  Finalists must continue studies on their own.  I suggest searching the internet for other spelling lists.  Remember, the competition will begin with grade two words, but quickly move onto harder words.
